THE wedding between Katherine Jane Russell, daughter of Peter and Angela Russell, of Southport, and Anthony Charles Dixon, son of Alan and Gail Dixon, of Warrington, took place at St John Fisher Chapel.
The bride was given away by her father and wore an A-line satin embroidered dress from Bride Be Lovely in Manchester. Bridesmaids, Nat Clifford, Jane Lyons and Ali Wales wore gold taffeta knee length dresses with champagne sashes.
All the flowers were done by Nat Clifford. Steve Monteith was bestman and Richard Russell, Alan and Michael Dixon were groomsmen. Father Chris Angel conducted the ceremony, music was provided by organist Beryl Pankhurst and the Pipe Major of the Royal Irish Regiment.
A reception for 110 guests was held at the Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate after which the couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic.
The bride is a doctor, GP Registrar at Birstwith, Harrogate, she plays hockey for Harrogate Ladies Hockey Club, the bridegroom is a Captain in the Royal Irish Regiment and currently based in Catterick. He enjoys rock climbing.
