THE marriage took place at St Luke's Church, Shireoaks, Worksop, between Hayley Marie Askew, daughter of Richard and Karen Askew of Worksop, and Michael Duncan Wood, son of Bruce and Margaret Wood of Knaresborough.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory princess style dress by Veromia and carried a bouquet of ivory avalanche roses and calla lilies.

The page boy, Andrew Theriault, travelled from Canada and wore a sailor suit. The bridesmaids were cousins Charlotte and Jennifer Beckett and also Caroline Charman.

They wore full length burgundy silk dresses. Younger cousins, Amanda and Harriet Ormston wore ivory silk dresses with a burgundy sash. All carried hand-tied posies of cream roses.

Best man was Andrew Wood, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were brothers of the bride, Ben and Will Askew, and cousins Martyn and Ian Beckett. Readings were given by Bruce Wood and Clare Derby. During the signing of the register, Ian Beckett played ‘My Heart Will Go On’ on the cornet.

A reception was held at the Crown Hotel, Bawtry and the honeymoon was spent in Rhodes. The bride is a primary school teacher in Shireoaks and the groom works for DKE at Doncaster College.
