STUDLEY ROYAL stayed ahead to record a win over WHIXLEY, Anthony Mackle (34) and Phil Waterworth (28) the mainstays of their 120-7 total against the bowling of R Ward (3-18).
Whixley went close in reply, reaching 113-5 but three wickets for Rob Ni
cholson (3-18) proved pivotal in pinning them back.
BILTON won their battle against BECKWITHSHAW after making a competitive 170-8.
Daz Simpson (57) and Lee Murdoch top scored, James Lilley taking 3-33.
‘Shaw were then restricted to 143-3 with James Ford’s 62 not out against his old side in vain.
KNARESBOROUGH carried on their fine start to the season by beating HARROGATE A.
Dale Tormey made 65 as ‘Boro’ posted 124-4. Simon Bridson then took 3-15 as ‘Gate could only muster 65-9.
BARDSEY racked up a six-wicket win over GOLDSBOROUGH, who reached 97-6 batting first before 55 from Sarfraz Ahmed directed Bardsey clear at 99-4.
Division Two
It was a mixed evening for FOLLIFOOT who easily beat BISHOP THORNTON but had a player taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Batting first Nick Robinson crashed a superb 115 with support from Mike Halmshaw (61) as ‘Foot made 209-2. Thornton were restricted to 120-3 in response but there was drama when ‘Foot bowling Chris Morrison was taken to hospital when a ball flicked up and hit him in the face.
He received a broken nose.
BLUBBERHOUSES defeated BURTON LEONARD, Mark McEneaney smashed 59 and Charlie Davy 39 to see ‘Houses rack up 167-5.
In reply Burton hit back through M Rangeley (25no) but John Brough’s 3-15 helped oust Burton for 99.
LITTLE RIBSTON steamed home against PATELEY BRIDGE with seven wickets still in the hutch.
James Rowett took 3-8 and James Orton 3-18 to peg Pateley back to 92 all out, Ribston cruising by at 95-3.
PANNAL won through in a high-scoring against HAMPSTHWAITE.
Andy Taylor made 31 and Andy Boyle 60 as Hamp’ posted 177, but Pannal knocked them off at 179-4 after super work from Travis Baker (65no) and Chris Henry the younger (49).
Division Three
Alex Blakeborough smashed 88 with support from H Singh (73) as SHADWELL cracked 223-7 in the face of SCOTTON’S P Ainsley (4-28). Scotton were then 77-7 in reply M Tariq taking 3-26.
GLASSHOUSES came out on top against KNARESBOROUGH FOREST A thanks to Stuart Jauncey’s 45. Earlier Rob Ellis took 4-9 as Forest made 92-6. ‘Houses crept across the winning line in response by three wickets.
BIRSTWITH sneaked a one-run win over NEWBY HALL, M Rixon cracking 50 to carry Birstwith to 166-8 against the bowling of C Stockhill (3-43 off four overs).
Olie Uffindall rose to the challenge in reply with a knock of 59 but Newby were just short at 165-4.
Division Four
KNARESBOROUGH B made it a clean sweep for the Aspin Lane club with a comfortable win over DARLEY. Christian White’s 4-12 kept Darley in check on 109-9.
