BECKWITHSHAW Saints U-13s are on top of the world this week, after wrapping up a fantastic season which saw them secure a league and cup double.
In only their second season playing 11-a-side, the team claimed their Harrogate and District Junior League U-13s crown with a 3-2 win over Knaresborough Celtic.

They then beat the same team 2-1 in their U-13s Cup final, with goals scored by Tom Coull, Bradley Everitt, Jakey Pattison, Luke Stewart and Cal Rayiru over both games.

Coach Mark Stewart paid tribute to his side.

“It’s a massive achievement for them,” he said.

“It’s only their second season playing 11-a-side and to pick up a double is fantastic. They also met the 1966 England World Cup squad so it’s been quite a year for them.

“I’d also like to say a massive thank you to our sponsors Hotel du Vin, Fallons, Stewarts, Woodtec Flooring of Knaresborough, Peacock Brothers, and to the Blakey family and the Newbold family.”
