Hart beat Marquis to share the top spot

AFTER just a couple of matches, The Hart A share the top of the table position with The Lido in the Knaresborough Summer League.
In the latest matches, The Hart A beat Marquis Charity Team 4-3 although the fastest games was a modest 26 darter from Marquis’s Steve Nelson.

The Lido had a 6-1 win at The Union B with Dave Batty shooting a 24 dart game and Gary Vine a 25.

The
Gate registered a 6-1 win over The Hart B with a 23 dart leg from Matt Kemp and a 26 from Terry Freame.

Hart’s Martin Newton had the quickest game of the night with a 20 arrow finish.

In the Harrogate Summer League, Bilton Cricket Club extended their lead with an 8-1 win at Stonebeck.

Shaun Smith checked out in 18 and 23 darts, Alex Pride finished in 19 and 24, Antony Sharratt won in 25 and Dave Procter won in 21.

Bilton WMC had their first win of the season beating Harlow Hill Club 7-2 and The Gate beat Skipton A 6-3.

Ian Balsdon had a 20 darter and Dave Batty checked in 25. Skipton’s Nick Hanslow finished his game 2-0 with 20 and 22 dart games.

Skipton B suffered an 8-1 defeat to Starbeck WMC with a 22 darter from Tony Hawkes and a 25 from Tezz Sherwood.

Skipton’s sole winner, Mark Currie, checked out in 25 darts.

Slip Inn move into second place after they beat Londesboro Club 7-2.

Adi Shaw had a 22 arrow win, Adam Thompson won in 21 and Neil Johnston in 22. Ray Bury had the best game for Londesboro with a 22 dart finish.

The Harrogate League holds its monthly meeting tonight (Friday June 27) at Londesboro Club when the fees will be collected and Summer Individuals and Pairs entry sheet will be given out.

The meeting starts at 8pm.
