HARROGATE slipped to a 25-run defeat in their ECB Yorkshire League clash against Barnsley on Saturday.
John Proud's side had done well to restrict the South Yorkshire side to 178 batting first with A Bourke (78), M Wilson (42) and J Ellis (31) scoring their runs, Dan Craven (2-37) in the wickets.

Proud (29) and Nick Lindley (22) got off to steady starts in reply but another 'Gate batting collapse saw them all out for 153, G Batty's 4-50 proving crucial.

Meanwhile in the Aire Wharfe League BECKWITHSHAW were beaten by Adel in Division One.

In Division Two KNARESBOROUGH drew an exciting contest with Pool to collect three points, however BILTON and FOLLIFOOT lost to Bardsey and Illingworth respectively.
