Cricket Roundup: Rotherham claim spoils from 'Gate
HARROGATE CC are still seeking their first Yorkshire League win of the season, on the wrong end of a losing draw at home to Rotherham on Saturday.
The result leaves them bottom of the pile five weeks into the campaign.
Batting first the hosts made 219-5 through Adam Patel (56), Shaaiq Choudrhay (39) and Nick Lindley (63no), but a fine all-round performance from Rotherham's Alex Walsh saw him claim 3-69 and then smash 104 for the visitors.
A half-century from James Moorhouse (56no) saw Rotherham claim the lion's share of the points at 220-3, Simon Seager the only 'Gate bowler claiming victimes with 2-69.
Meanwhile in the Aire Wharfe League, FOLLIFOOT were seven-wicket winners at Harden in Division Two, cruising by at 137-3.
KNARESBOROUGH also picked up maximum points, winners at 205-4 after visitor Colton posted 203-7.
But there wasn't such good news in Division One, BILTON suffering a losing draw at home to Kirstall Educational, reaching 148-5 after Kirkstall posted 255-4.
BECKWITHSHAW also came off worst at Pool, who reached 230-5 only for 'Shaw to fall short at 181-6.
COLLINGHAM also stumbled at Otley, who set 213-6 for victory but the champions were pegged back at 156-8.
Over in the Nidderdale League, NEWBY HALL's Olie Uffindall cracked 56 not out to see his side beat PANNAL, who were bowled out for 87 before Uffindall steered his side clear at 91-6.
