HARROGATE'S overseas Simon Seager is desperate to grab another victory for his team when they get back to Yorkshire League action tomorrow.
Bottom side ‘Gate travel to Doncaster Town (12noon start) with Seager confident their luck could change this week.

‘Gate have only collected one win from their campaign this season but Seager believes their luck will change soon.

“You get into
a habit of losing which we are doing at the moment and we need to get in a habit of winning games,” he said.

“But I think that will change soon. Doncaster is a team we should be looking at beating.

“It’s disappointing at the moment but if you look at the teams in the league we’re more than capable of beating them.”

The Zimbabwean revealed he is enjoying his cricket up north after playing in Essex last season.

The higher standard of cricket is testing ‘Gate’s overseas star and now he’s looking forward to a more successful finish to the campaign.

“It’s alright at the moment,” he continued.

“It’s a good league up here and good competitive cricket. It’s very strong and as long as I’m playing competitive cricket I’ll be happy.”

Seager also believes ‘Gate should increase their chances of success on the pitch by bonding off it.

“We need to pull together for the rest of the season and to do that we need to be together off the field,” he added.

“We have a few young lads in the team but they could all stay behind and have a Coke after the game.”

On Saturday Robert Ross (34) and Nick Lindley (57) batted ‘Gate up to 195 all out, James Hodgson and Adam Boasman the pick of the bowlers.

However in reply Andy Simpson (43), Tim Appleyard (78) and Tim Dimaline (41) saw Hull home for a comfortable seven-wicket win.
