SIXTH Formers at St Aidan's School held their winter ball in memory of a fellow student who died of cancer last summer.
'Nick's Ball' was a chance for the students to remember a friend, Nick Gill, and to raise money for the charity that supported him. All proceeds from the event on December 20 at the Cairn Hotel will go to Martin House Hospice and Candlelighters. The event raised more than £2,000.
