AROUND 450 guests were treated to a four course meal at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate on Saturday March 1 to raise vital funds for Martin House Children's Hospice based in Boston Spa.
2008 marks the Hospice's 21st Birthday and theme reflected this very special celebration. The ball raised a record-braking £56,000; over half of which was raised through the auction with the help of Jeremy Hopkinson of Dacre, Son & Hartley.

Guests danced the night away to an ABBA revival band. Stuart Andrew, Fundraising Manager at Martin House says "We could not have wished for a better gift for our 21st birthday. To beat all records and raise this fantastic amount is truly wonderful and will help our hospice so much. We cannot begin to thank the Glitter Committee enough for all their hard work."
