THE Lions Club of Knaresborough celebrated their 21st Anniversary Charter on Saturday January 27 at the Dower House Hotel.
Club members were joined by former Lions, friends, guests from other Lions
Clubs, District Governor of District 105C. Rotary Club President Peter Kendal, Mayor of Knaresborough Lion Peter Guest. There was also a special visit from the club's official 'keepers of the reindeer', Mike
and Agnes Webster. Entertainment was provided by Toned F. Lion President John Moore outlined the club's activities over the last 12 months; District Governor (105C) Bryan Riley Bryan congratulated the
President and the club for their efforts. Keynote speaker Mike Webster regaled the gathering with tales of the post war comings and goings in Lower Wharfedale. Lion Alan Turtle, past was presented with a 30 year long service award and Lion Phil Oldfield was presented with his 20 year long service award.
