THE 14th annual Rudding Charity Bridge Day raised more than £2,000 for charitable causes in the district.
Over 140 players took part at the event on March 3, organised by Coun Caroline Bayliss and Judi Mackaness, with the support of Rudding Park's Simon Mackaness. Local businesses donated raffle prizes which included a giant bouquet of flowers from Caine the florists, vouchers for the Turkish Baths, and a staying in pamper pack with chocolates and champagne.

The funds, raised through the raffle, lunch and bridge, will be split between the Harrogate branch of Carer's Resource and disability action group Junction.
