MORE than 400 guests gathered in a spectacular marquee set amidst the beautiful lakeside grounds of Ripley Castle to celebrate 'The Finale' of three days fundraising for Marie Curie Cancer Care, organised by the Crystal Committee and the Marie Curie's Harrogate Support Group.
A champagne reception was followed by a lavish three-course dinner prepared by Yorkshire Party Company.

After an auction conducted by Jeremy Hopkinson of Dacre, Son and Hartley, the evening concluded with dancing to the sounds of The Right Stuff. The 'Three-day event' raised more than £40,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Day one, 'Dressage', was a spectacular fashion show presented by Lynx of Harrogate and lunch for 400 guests. Day two, 'Cross Country', took the format of a clay pigeon shoot, with lunch in the marquee for 130 guests who were competing in teams of five for the prestigious Crystal Shoot Trophy, won this year by Barratt Homes, with the individual award going to Robin Hardcastle.
