THREE students at Ripon College have been working on a project to bring the classroom to the business world. One of them, JORDAN HORSMAN, writes about what they have been doing.
Matthew Craggs, Jordan Horsman and Bedri Pervetica met Hayley Smithson, a franchisee for Bill Plant Driving School Ltd, and decided to help to establish her driving instructing business in the Ripon area.

As the only female driving instructor for Bill Plant in the area, Hayley was happy to help, resulting in a taster session being provided for Olivia Hudson, a fellow 6th Form Student, to try out her advanced instruction.

Olivia, currently studying for university entry next September, said: "It was a really useful lesson and Hayley's cool and calm approach put me at ease immediately. Due to this, I have decided to take up driving again and have booked lessons with her for next week".

The team will be using classic marketing methods, such as flyers, but also giving the campaign a modern touch by producing web profiles on the popular Myspace and Bebo websites.

Hopefully the campaign will be an unprecedented success and be sure to provide any feedback, positive or negative, on the campaign as it hits the Ripon streets and Internet in the near future! .
