Young people will be prevented from buying eggs and flour as police warn they will crackdown on anti-social behaviour on Mischief Night.

Police in Ripon are working with local shops to deter criminal damage and anti-social behaviour on Friday, November 4.

The initiative aims to prevent young people from purchasing items such as eggs and flour which, in previous years, have been thrown against people’s homes, vehicles and other property.

Officers have been visiting retailers and have put posters up making it clear such behaviour will not be tolerated in the run-up to Mischief Night and on the night itself.
