THROUGH the Advertiser I would like to say that last weekend I experienced an utterly fantastic show produced and starring Harrogate & District Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies.
Although admittedly as a parent of the smallest cast member I am pre
disposed to pride, I would like to say a huge well done to every single member of the 50 something strong cast who superbly performed numbers from the very latest Mamma Mia to (I believe) some of Baden Powell's originals and acted in some extremely comical sketches.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to Mark and Judi Edwards and their wonderful team for their planning, time and enthusiasm in organising and producing such a spectacular and giving children like mine the opportunity to create lifelong memories, experience and, most of all, fun!
Our District Scout and Guide groups have many dedicated and magnificent leaders and volunteers, some of whom I have known for some time and others I met this last weekend who also deserve our gratitude and praise for educating, entertaining and keeping our younger generations safe and out of mischief!
