IT WAS interesting to read the letter from Geoff Scurrah describing the proposed skatepark being in the Valley Gardens.

It wouldn't be, as he suggested a 'carbuncle'. It would create fun and pleasure to both spectator and participant.

I remember as a schoolboy going with my brother roller skating in the Sun Pavilion!

These sessions were well attended and under supervision, there was no trouble. If you don't believe me check your history of the Valley Gardens in the 40s and 50s.
