I WOULD like to thank those of your readers who responded to the article in last week’s Advertiser and who kindly brought bicycles for recycling last Saturday at the Rugby Club.

We actually received 81 bikes on the day with more awaiting collection by us and others coming this weekend, making over 100 received or promised. Added to the 100 already obtained, this is a flying start to our aim of collecting 300 plus bikes for the Ukraine Convoy.

Those who did not see the article in last week’s Advertiser or who were unable to bring their bikes last Saturday, can still do so on any Saturday between 10am and noon at Harrogate Rugby Club, Claro Road.

If the bikes are left at the side of the stand, the groundsman will put them away before he leaves around lunchtime.

Anyone unable to get their bikes there should contact me, Terry Knowles on (01423) 525014 and leave a message, and someone will get back to you to arrange collection.
