IT has come to our attention that there is a planning application to fell trees in preparation for the building of a property in the garden of Uncle Tom's holiday cabins on Waterside in Knaresborough. This is within the conservation area and I would urge readers to be mindful of this and join us in trying to keep Waterside free from further building works.

Visitors enjoy Waterside all year round and as residents we are justifiably proud of the whole area.

I would ask readers to watch out for further developments on this matter and act to preserve the conservation area.
