From: Michael Press, Knowle Hill, Virginia Water, Surrey.
I AM from that village MP Philip Hammond mentions in your article ‘High profile MP backs fight against waste incinerator’ (Wetherby News, April 18), Virginia Water in Surrey.

The plans for the incinerator is going to the planning department in two weeks.

Mr Hammond, in my opinion, delivers false hopes and has little to no intention of helping your plight.

In my experience over the last 18 months he has contributed nothing and even though more suitable sites have been found and offered up away from people his response seems to be, in the words of Catharine Tate, “not bovered, look at my face, do I look bovered?”.

The end of this nightmare is nearly here but it is because we all believed that commonsense and our dear MP would change the outcome.

More fool us, our residents association has been ignored.

Do not be fooled, I wish you every success in removing this problem off your doorstep – do what we failed to do.

Best regards and good luck for the future.
