From: Jack Richardson, Mallorie Close, Ripon.
WHO is this county highways chief who “doesn’t particularly want to open up Borrage Lane"?

Is he a public servant, supposedly looking after all the motorists of Ripon, or is he a protector of a privileged minority who don’t like the noise of motor traffic passing their houses?

If nothing else is evident from the traffic chaos we are experiencing, it is that the city needs every available road and Borrage Lane should not be an exception. Borrage Lane should never have been closed in the first place. There has never been an accident along it to my knowledge.

Mr Jackson says he will open it up “if it is demanded”. Well, it is demanded. Just do it!
