TWO gardens will be open for viewing on Bank Holiday Monday if you're in the Whixley and Ouseburn area.
Tinkers Hollow on Church Field Lane, Great Ouseburn is opening its gates to the public alongwith Cobble Cottage, Rudgate in Whixley.

Two very different gardens, Tinkers Hollow is just over an acre in size with several water features, a waterfall and a stream. Pergolas are used to create interesting walkways around the garden. Set apart from this is a wild area with its own pond, bog garden and small folly.

Cobble Cottage is a real cottage garden imaginatively designed and constantly changing. It is full of decorative architectural plants and old family favourites.

Opening times are 11am till 5pm and admission is £3 with children free. Perennial, aquatic and bog plants will be on sale.

All proceeds from the day will go to charities supported by the National Garden Scheme.
