Trio of music groups unite for college concert

A JOINT concert of Ripon Community Orchestra combined with Harrogate Harmony Barbershop Chorus and the Ripon Youth Strings Orchestra takes place next week.
Coming together for the first time, the evening event will offer a mix of classical music and song.

Conducted by Xenophon Kelsey from RIpon, the Community Orchestra will be playing music by Mozart and Suppe, whilst the all male barbershop singers from Harrogate will be presenting a variety of close harmony numbers.

Playing for the first time at a concert, the newly formed Youth Strings Orchestra is made up of young musicians aged upto 18 years and they promise a range of music sure to appeal to everyone.

The concert will be at Ripon College on Clotherholme Road, Ripon on Tuesday, July 1 starting at 8pm.

Admission is free but donations on the door are welcome.
