KNARESBOROUGH'S feva (Knaresborough Festival of Entertainment and Visual Arts) starts today and runs until August 17.
With a huge choice of events there is something for everyone, with many events being free. The festival is now in its eighth year and this year’s looks set to be bigger and better than ever.

With more than 80 performances, exhibitions and activities, there will be no escaping this year’s feva fever.

Among the exhibitions taking place is A Journey thro’ Time...of Moors and Mills at Art in the Mill, Green Dragon Yard.

Celebrating the mill’s 200th birthday, the exhibition weaves together the natural and industrial landscape of our mill towns and features paintings by Peter Stanaway, Steve Capper, Russell Howarth and Kevin Haynes.

Among other festival highlights are renowned reggae dub poet, Linton Kwesi Johnson, bestselling thriller writer Sophie Hannah and Knaresborough Pro Musica.

The feva Arts Trail is a central part of the festival.

The Town Windows Trail and the feva trompe l’oeils delight the eye and bring a smile to your face and for gourmets there are the Flavours of feva, a chance to sample special menus at various restaurants in town.

l For more information about the Visual Arts Trail and all the other feva events, pick up a programme from the office of the Knaresborough Post, 90 High Street, or Knaresborough Tourist Information Centre. You can also visit www.feva.info, where a downloadable copy is available.

l Tickets for feva are on sale at the Tourist Information Centre, Castle Courtyard, Knaresborough, Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm.
