FOLLOWING its summer break, the Hyena Comedy Club returns to Harrogate Theatre in October with an exciting line-up.
The Club aims to showcase the very best comedians on the touring circuit and this season is no exception.

First up is Jason Cook who brings his new show entitled ‘Joy’ to Harrogate following critically acclaimed appearances at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.

Geordie funnyman Jason Cook, who recently took the top prize at the New Zealand Comedy Festival aims to have audiences alternately crying with laughter and wincing with horror when he brings his show to Harrogate Theatre on Monday, October 27 at 8pm.

The comedian says he set himself the ultimate comedian's challenge – to perform a show without embellishment, exaggeration or poetic license – which means the material he uses in his stand-up is 100 per cent true.

“I’ve written this one so that by the end, I’m hoping, the audience will be so full of joy we’ll be grinning like morons together,” said Jason. “We’re going to talk about all the things that give us joy, from the daftest little sniggers to things that just make your heart sing.”

Tickets for Jason Cook ‘Joy’ priced £10 are available from Harrogate Theatre Box Office on 01423 502116.
