FORMER University of Leeds art history lecturer, Dr Paul Street, will be teaching a new art appreciation class in Harrogate starting on Monday, September 22 at the Quaker Meeting House on Queen Parade, on the subject of 19th century painting in Europe and America.
Dr Street said: “Many people think 19th century painting is all about the Impressionists, but I hope to show that there were exciting things happening in painting all across Europe and in America too, although, of course, I won't neglect the Impressionists!”

You don't need any previous experience, just go along and find out more about a fascinating period in the history of painting.

The class runs for 22 weeks and meets from 1.30pm to 3.30 pm.

Further details about the course and how to enrol can be obtained from Dr Street at 0113 274 1709.
