Hide AdAs businesses across Harrogate are forced to adapt as they deal with the new coronavirus measures on practicing more social-distancing, Bettys is now giving customers the option to phone and order an afternoon tea for collection.
It comes after the retailer took the decision to close all of its cafes earlier this week. Its shops and cookery school are still open, as well as its mail-order service.
Their decision to close came long before Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Friday afternoon how he was calling on all pubs, restaurants, gyms, cares and nightclubs to close as the Government looks to halt the spread of the virus.

Hide AdThe opportunity to buy the takeaway goods is available this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday, however, the company's Twitter feed announced that Sunday - Mother's Day - had been sold out within a matter of hours.
The Tweet read: "Goodness, we've had an incredible response to this! Sunday has sold out in most our cafés, but there are some takeaway afternoon teas available for Saturday. How about an early Mother's Day treat?"
