THIS is Beckwithshaw Gala Queen, Hannah Johnson, pictured with friends Helen Albrecht and Chloe Cann, who will be her attendants at the event.
The trio are looking forward to the gala, to be held on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26, on the football field in the centre of the village.
The event kicks off at 1pm, and will be opened by Coun Cliff Trotter, who used to play football and cricket for the village.
Dozens of activities are planned, with visitors able to enter their family pet in the gala show, decorate a baby buggy, trike, bike or zimmer frame, take part in welly wanging or win prizes for races.
There will be lots of stalls and sideshows, including a bungee trampoline and inflatable slide, coconut shy, a beat the goalie competition, face painting and entertainment in the arena.
Ice creams, teas, an outdoor bar and barbecue will be available all afternoon, with music from the Saxatronics Jazz Quartet.
