A 14-YEAR-old Bilton boy is the latest teenage tearaway to receive an Anti-Social Behaviour Order.
Paul Daniels was handed the two-year order last week at Harrogate Magistrates Court as part of Harrogate Police's crackdown on yob behaviour.
It is another success for the Enough is Enough campaign against yob behaviour, led by Harrogate police
in partnership with Harrogate Borough Council, and backed by the Harrogate Advertiser.
Daniels's parents were among more than 100 written to by Chief Insp Richard Spedding as part of the campaign to warn them of anti-social behaviour.
Chief Insp Spedding said the police worked with the community to compile the evidence needed to get the Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) and he was pleased with the result.
Sgt Mark Gee, from Harrogate Police's Community Safety Team, added: "We are pleased that the magistrates supported us. It sends a warning to young people that if their behaviour is unacceptable, we will clamp down hard."
According to the ASBO, Daniels must not be in a public place or street between 10pm and 7am, unless accompanied by his mother, father or a grandparent, until September 14 2006.
The same restriction applies from September 14, 2006 until September 14, 2007 between 10pm and 7am. On Wednesdays the curfew is in operation after midnight.
He is not to associate in public with four named individuals unless attending pre-arranged lessons or training at an educational establishment or angling trips organised by Fairfax Community Centre.
He is also banned from congregating or meeting in public with three or more other people aged between 11 and 18, except members of his family, in part of Harrogate. He must not enter or remain on school premises or grounds except for pre-arranged lessons.
