Sporting icon set for charity walk

CRICKET legend Sir Ian Botham is set to take in the picturesque sights of Harrogate later this month as part of Beefy's Great British Walk Against Childhood Leukaemia.
The charity walk will take in nine towns across the UK between October 10-18 October, with the 52-year-old all-rounder visiting Harrogate on October 16.
For the first time, members of the public will be able to join the walk which will start in Taunton where Ian started his cricket career.
Sir Ian will take in Taunton, Windsor, Tunbridge Wells, Bury St Edmunds, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Llandudno, Harrogate and Milngavie, finishing in Durham, where he ended his professional cricket career.
Sir Ian said: "I'm walking again in October to beat childhood leukaemia but I need the Great British public to support me."
