MORE than 700 people attended a polo tournament final, sponsored by a Harrogate jewellers.
The Ogden of Harrogate Armada Dish and Silver Jubilee Plate competition was held at Toulston Polo Club, near Tadcaster.

Actress Claire King attended the event, at which all the proceeds were donated to the Children's Society.

Director of Ogden, Ben Ogden, said: "Polo is becoming an increasingly popular spectator sport in Yorkshire: whereas once it tended to be popular in the confines of the south, more and more people in the north of England are becoming interested in playing and watching the game."

The winning team was Barracuda, beating opponents Leoline Lions 5.5 - 5. Beverley Polo Club, meanwhile, took home the Jubilee plate after beating Silver Leys 8.5 - 6.
