HARROGATE & District Society for the Blind has held its annual tea and concert.
More than 120 visually impaired members, accompanied by their guides, attended the event in the Harrogate Pavilions' Wharfe Room, which included two half-hour entertainment programmes led by John Wallis.
Chairman John Batchelor hosted the event.

Anne Worden, from the society, said: "It went absolutely fantastically.
"Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

"The entertainment was superb: Mr Wallis spoke with great humour and performed some old songs, which went down very well."

The guests of honour were the Mayor, Coun Cliff Trotter, and his wife Gillian.

The Mayoress was presented with a posy of flowers by one of the society's more senior members, Sophie Turner, who is looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday.

Harrogate & District Society's resource centre, providing living aids to the visually impaired, is open at its East Parade offices from Tue to Fri, 10am to 12pm, or during the afternoon by appointment.

For more information, contact Mrs Worden on 01423 565915.
