A HARROGATE animal charity is having trouble finding homes for many of the cats in its care.
The Harrogate Cats Protection Society has been having recent success homing kittens.

But the downside is that adult cats are being overlooked, meaning some of them have been with fosterers for months.

A spokesman said: "As there are a limited number of fosterers, this means that on occasions Cats Protection are unable to take in cats as there is simply nowhere for them to go.

"It is therefore essential that homes are found for the long term cats as soon as possible but they need a special person to give them a loving environment as many of them have not had the best start in life."

To see some of the cats seeking new homes, head to the Harrogate Whispurrs website at www.whispurrs.org.uk. The site also outlines the animals' history and the type of home they are looking for.

The spokesman added: "Amongst those needing your help are Monty, Milly and Daisy, three beautiful cross Siamese, Oscar and Bruce who are stunning long haired boys, Patty and Becky who are two pretty white sisters, Redford a young male tabby and Tyson who needs a home where he can roam free.

"If you think you can give any of our cats a new start in life please call 01423 889598 or use the email facility on the website."
