Harrogate woman critical after Skipton Road accident

A YOUNG woman was in a critical but stable condition yesterday after being hit by a delivery van in Harrogate during the early hours of Monday morning.
The 20-year-old local woman sustained serious injuries following the collision on Skipton Road. She was taken to Harrogate District Hospital before being transferred to Leeds General Infirmary.

The incident occurred at 4.45am on Monday, when a white LDV panel van collided with the young woman between the junctions of Waterloo Street and Chatsworth Road.

She is believed to have been with two men at the time.

The road was closed for four hours in both directions as police investigated the incident.

They are appealing for witnesses.
