A TRIO of sixth form students from Harrogate Grammar School has won a coveted place at the finals of the 2008 National Schools Business Competition.
Emily Simmons, Andrew Senior and Jo Frith demonstrated their creative business thinking and entrepreneurial flair at the regional finals held at Bradford University School of Management.

Winning through against eight other schools they now face competition from across the country at the prestigious London final in December.

All the budding entrepreneurs will have their sights set on winning the top prize, a five-day trip to New York to take in the unique atmosphere of the Big Apple's business and financial centre.

Judges praised the creativity and business sense of the pupils, saying their professionalism outstanding and that they demonstrated true entrepreneurial flair combined with sound business knowledge.

Head of business, enterprise and ICT at Harrogate Grammar School Rob Stevenson said: "The team worked extremely hard. Their presentation was inspired, innovative and highly professional. I'm delighted that their hard work paid off."
