THE winners of the Ackrill Media Group Business Awards have been announced at a glittering ceremony in Harrogate.
A full society supplement featuring photographs of the night will appear in next week's Harrogate Advertiser (March 21) not in this weeks as advertised.

Nearly 500 local business people gathered at the Majestic Hotel last Thursday for the prestigious awards dinner which saw Peter McCormick OBE presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Andrew Beadnall picked up the award for Business Personality of the Year and Paul Berwin was presented with the Mayor's Award.

The Green Award, which featured for the first time this year, was won jointly by Harrogate Borough Council and Goosemoorganics.

James Tapster, of the Pure Treatment Rooms, won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Best Company Website was awarded to Harrogate firm Magnolia Box Ltd.

Northallerton-based It's Nut Free was named Best Small Company with Alexanders Motor Company named Best Medium Company and Harrogate company Vp plc awarded the title of Best Large Company.

Eleanor Lutkin of Si Recruitment was named Employee of the Year and Harrogate accountancy firm DSC scooped the accolade of Employer of the Year.

Stockeld Farms Ltd won the Best Rural Initiative Award for its Christmas Adventure and Harrogate International Festival won the Tourism Award.
