11 people had to be rescued by boat from a flooded caravan park in Knaresborough this weekend.
The resuce came in the middle of the night on Sunday, November 29
after river levels rose following heavy rain throughout the day.

The people were evacuated from the Nidderdale Caravan Park off York Road which lies next to the River Nidd.
Emergency services attended and the stranded residents were taken to safety by boat.

Although river levels are falling today, the Environmental Agency still has a flood watch in place for Knaresborough and the riverside caravan parks.
