Ripon Flower Club
The last club meeting was chaired by Pat Hutchinson, reporting to a well attended gathering that the club had a busy programme ahead with the following events:

Harrogate Spring Flower Show: April 24 - 27, with Joan Davy representing the club and o
ther club members taking part with exhibits.

Newby Hall Floral Display: May 11, when the club displays arrangements in the Houses’ setting.

Open Summer Demonstration by national demonstrator Janet Hyton entitled ‘A Thread of Colour Running Through’ at Ripon College, Wednesday, May 21 at 7.30pm. Tickets now on sale at £6, including refreshments, from club members or call Pat Hutchinson on 01423 780458, Lyn Blyth on 01765 689289 or Jill Snowden on 01765 692417.

Competition night followed, judged by Alyson Grenville who gave us a very good individual constructional critique. Winners were: Beginners, Sue Dalby; Intermediate, Georgina Bulman; Advanced, Joan Williams; Advanced Gold, Pat Hutchinson. A vote of thanks was proposed by Jacky Barber.

The next meeting is on April 16 at Harrogate Road Methodist church Hall at 7.30pm. It will be a demo night entitled ‘Tints, Tones and Textures’ by Rosalind Walker.
