A LOVELY summer’s evening had tempted many members to come along to Goldsborough Cricket Pavilion for the July meeting.

Maureen White, our President, covered the brief business details, commenting on our very successful outing to Bramham, then ha
nded over to Angela Booth, our Vice-President, to give us a lot of information from the monthly newsletter.

Before pausing for our tea break Maureen produced a most beautiful plant which she had the pleasure of presenting to one of our most senior members, Joyce Winter, who was celebrating a rather special birthday. Congratulations Joyce!

Time then to welcome our speaker, Dave Goodfellow, who introduced himself as a Complementary Hypnotherapist speaking to us on his subject ‘Past Life Regression.’

We would first learn a little about how hypnotherapy could be used. Dave illustrated the workings of the brain, (the conscious and sub-conscious mind) by comparing with a modern computer and suggesting that along with the many programmes, a faulty programme can occur as a disorder or addiction.

These in turn could be rectified with hypnotherapy, but it was not just that simple, there was a lot more to be learnt. Dave admitted he had a particular interest in the subject of Past Life Regression and went on to give us information and examples of case-details he had experienced. It was a fascinating topic,

The next meeting will be held on August 7 when Anne Dunning is talking about ‘Herbs and Herbalism.’ Do join us, visitors are always welcome.
