A TWENTY per cent increase in new customers has prompted a recruitment drive at Wetherby-based precision sheet metalwork and components manufacturer GSM Valtech.
An influx of new staff has enhanced the firm’s skill set, according to general manager Paul Wright.

“The increase in business facilitated our recruitment drive and has been particularly beneficial,” said Mr Wright.

He attributed the company’s success to a number of factors.

“We implemented an aggressive sales and marketing strategy many months before the start of the recession which resulted in a much higher level of enquiry.

“Our ability to respond quickly and comprehensive, cost effective in-house manufacturing capabilities enabled us to secure and incorporate new business at a rapid rate.”

GSM Valtech also obtained new business through recommendations made by its existing customers.

“We have strong and established relationships with our customers and are obviously delighted when they recommend us to other companies.”
