HARROGATE International Centre has secured a new trade show for 2009 when PATS, the Pet and Aquatics Trade Show, takes up residency on May 5 and 6 in two of the venue's exhibition halls.
This new show is organised by Impact Exhibitions and Events who have over 40 combined years of pet and aquatics trade show experience.
Event manager, Annie Dyke, who herself has 15 years trade experience, said: “PATS has been designed to offer exh
ibiting companies of all sizes – including those without their own sales forces – an opportunity to promote their products and launch new concepts effectively to a dedicated and targeted audience of wholesalers, kennels, catteries and retailers”.
“We chose Harrogate for its excellent location and because there is lots of scope and diversity for networking and social events. It’s a very friendly town and the HIC is centrally located so our exhibitors and show visitors can relax and enjoy themselves without worrying about transport.
“The accommodation provision, from B and Bs to 4-star hotels, can cater for all budget levels and we have been able to negotiate some very good deals with providers.”
More than half the available exhibition space was reserved within the first four months of the show’s launch. Exhibitors include Ferplast, Juwel Aquarium, Crown Petfood, Johnsons, Pedigree Wholesale and Wagg Foods.
HIC Director, Stuart Quin, said: “We had a pet show here in Harrogate some 15 years ago so it will be good to welcome the PATS contingency back to the area.
“Our accommodation providers are very flexible and I’m pleased Impact Exhibitions and Events were able to secure competitive deals for their show.”
