EQUIPMENT rental specialist Vp plc, winner of the Ackrill Media Group Best Large Business Award earlier this year, has appointed Stephen Rogers as a non-executive director of the group.
After reading Mechanical Engineering at Nottingham University, Stephen qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (then Price Waterhouse), becoming an audit partner in 1986.

He served in a wide variety of roles, including audit, accounting and financial advisory services to UK and overseas clients until his retirement as a senior partner in 2007.

Stephen is a non-executive director of Heywood Williams Group plc and a trustee of the Leeds Community Foundation.

Barrie Cottingham, who has served as a Non-Executive Director since 1996, will not be seeking re-election at the Annual General Meeting in 2009.

Jeremy Pilkington, Chairman of Vp, said: "I am delighted to welcome Stephen to Vp. His extensive business experience, both in the UK and internationally, will make a valuable contribution to the Group."
