NEWS that McCormicks Solicitors is the only Harrogate firm to be recommended in 12 areas of law and the only Harrogate practice to be ranked in seven of those areas by the UK's principal guide to the legal profession, the Legal 500, has been hailed as "terrific" by partner Neil Goodrum.
He said: “To achieve rankings in 12 areas is a testament to the hard work of the whole team and underlines the increasing importance of Harrogate as a legal centre not only for the district but for the whole of Yorkshire, especially North Yorkshire.”

Peter McCormick is once again recognised as a Leading Individual in the Yorkshire and Humber region and the firm is listed as one of the top in the country for its work in Sports law, with Peter McCormick described as having “unrivalled industry knowledge in sport”.

McCormicks is the only Harrogate firm recommended for Crime and Fraud; Commercial Litigation; Agriculture and Estates; Charities; Property Litigation; Media and Entertainment and Sport. It is also ranked for its expertise in Corporate and Commercial; Employment; Family; Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate; and Commercial Property.

The recommendation for Agriculture and Estates describes Peter McCormick as “highly competent.” The firm’s “very strong practice” in Family Law, Peter McCormick’s experience in Media and Entertainment law and the practice’s “good service and appropriate guidance and advice” in the Charities sector also win mention.

Partner Geoff Rogers is named as a leading individual in Crime and Fraud, with the guide highlighting recent work such as trading standards investigations, prosecutions by the DWP and HM Revenue and Customs and criminal cases involving substantial drug possession and murder.
