High calibre entries flooding in for annual business awards

NOMINATIONS for the fourth annual Ackrill Media Group Business Awards are already being received with some of the district's top business names among the entries.
The awards have become an established and prestigious event highlighting the success and diversity of the business community in and around Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Wetherby, Nidderdale, Northallerton, Thirsk and Bedale.

With 13 categories sponsored by top local firms and organisations no business is too large or too small to enter.

The categories are Young Entrepreneur of the Year: sponsored by Evans Easyspace; Best Rural Initiative: sponsored by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society; Tourism Award: sponsored by Harrogate International Centre; Employee of the Year; The Green Award; Employer of the Year: sponsored by Berwins llp; Best Small Company of the Year (1 to 10 employees): sponsored by Harrogate Chamber of Trade and Commerce; Best Medium-Sized Company (11 to 50 employees): sponsored by Si Recruitment; Best Large Company of the Year (over 50 employees): sponsored by McCormicks Solicitors; Best Company Website of the Year; The Mayor's Award: sponsored by Harrogate Borough Council; Business Personality of the Year Award: sponsored by Saffery Champness; Lifetime Achievement Award: sponsored by Cicada Communications Ltd.

l The closing date for entries is December 31 and the shortlist will be announced in January.
