First-ever visit by Worshipful Company of Marketors

THE Worshipful Company of Marketors visited Yorkshire over the May Bank holiday weekend in the Livery's first ever visit to the county.
This year’s Master, John Fisher and his wife, Kathy, were both born and brought up in Yorkshire are were proud to show their roots to the Company, many of whom decided to extend their stay in the County over the following week.

The Company was based at Swinton Park for the weekend and enjoyed dinner with Lord and Lady Masham.

On Sunday they attended a champagne reception and dinner hosted by Sir Thomas and Lady Ingilby at Ripley Castle.

The Worshipful Company of Marketors is one of 107 Livery Companies based in the City of London, which originally developed as Guilds to maintain the standards and wages of their trades.
