ICONIC home design store the Conran Shop has teamed up with Harrogate-based e-inbusiness as it prepares to relaunch its US, UK and French websites.
The first Conran Shop opened in 1973 on Fulham Road in London. Now with eight stores, Conran Shops can be found in London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Fukuoka and Nagoya and is regarded as one of the leading high quality home furnishings retail businesse
s in the world.

The Conran Shop launched its first eCommerce proposition with e-inbusiness in early 2007 but was keen to redevelop three of its key sites to reflect a more forward thinking online shopping experience.

Working from offices based in Harrogate and Maidenhead, e-inbusiness has been building online brands since 1999 for a large number of high profile retail clients including New Look, Radley, Farrow & Ball and The Jacques Vert Group.

Nigel Corp, e-inbusiness chief operating officer, said: “Through detailed web analytics analysis, our team delivered The Conran Shop a site that not only looks more on brand and stylish but is also designed with the needs and wants of its customers at the fore-front of the development.”

THIRSK Hygiene products company Hygicare has received a top international award recognising the high level of service it provides to its customers.

The firm was awarded the ISO 9001 quality standard following a stringent assessment by an independent organisation.

This prestigious government-supported certification has so far been achieved by only 5 per cent of businesses in the UK.

Hygicare’s Managing Director Tony Fawcett said: “Here at Hygicare we have always been proud of the way we conduct our business and the service we offer to our clients.

It’s been a great effort from all the team at Hygicare to get us to this standard of quality management and the award is a fantastic boost for the company.”

RECENTLY launched Harrogate firm Thermosave has won its first commercial contract to supply energy saving products to the town’s Studley Hotel.

The new firm specialises in the installation of reflective panels behind radiators in homes and business premises.

The panels are OFGEM approved and owner Bryan Patterson says they can reduce heat loss and gas consumption by as much as 27 per cent, cutting CO2 emissions. The hotel contract involves more than 45 radiator installations.
