Agency Board role for ex-council leader

TWO Yorkshiremen have been appointed as non-executive members of the Environment Agency Board by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Hilary Benn.
Jeremy Walker, currently chairman of the Yorkshire Regional Flood Defence Committee and former chief executive of North Yorkshire County Council, and Coun Robert Light, a farmer from Bradford and former leader of Kirklees Council, will be taking up their new national roles shortly.
