TOP 20 accountancy firm Saffery Champness, which has an office in Harrogate, has been named as one of Britain's top employers in a guide to the best organisations to work for in Britain.
In ‘Britain’s Top Employers’ guide, researched by the Corporate Research Foundation, Saffery Champness was highly rated across eight key areas including pay and benefits, training and knowledge management.

It is the only accountancy firm to appea
r in the guide and was praised for its forward-looking approach in the way it operates and listens to its staff.

The firm features alongside organisations such as Asda, IBM, John Lewis and GlaxoSmithKline and its UK Charities VAT team has also been named as Best VAT Team at the LexisNexis Taxation Awards 2008.

The LexisNexis Taxation Awards are intended to celebrate the achievements of the best in the tax profession.

Saffery Champness was recognised for the work it has carried out in recent years to successfully identify VAT savings in excess of £32 million for charities and not-for-profit organisations.
