The hugely popular Pavilions of Harrogate Decorative Antiques & Fine Art Fair will take place from January 19 – 21.

This is considered the major art and antiques fair of the winter in the north of England and a highlight for connoisseurs, collectors and interior designers.

With a vast range of high-quality pieces for sale belonging to more than 45 specialist dealers, the fair, at Railway Road, Harrogate has something for everyone. Prices range from £20 to £20,000 and the event brings together many dealers from Yorkshire and the north of England.

Among the exhibitors are: Jack Shaw and Highland Antiques, for fine English and Scottish silver; John Newton Antiques which specialises in fine porcelain and studio pottery; Peter Bunting Antiques which offers English country furniture and Carnes Fine Art and Rowles Fine Art which both show modern and contemporary oil paintings and sculpture. And from closer to home in Harrogate, Walker Galleries will also exhibit. Other specialists offer jewellery, ceramics, 20th century glass, Mid-Century modern art and designs, period lighting, Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs.

“It’s a great time to buy antiques and they always add something special to every home,” says fair organiser Sue Ede. “This fair is very popular because we provide such a wide range of pieces, from the 16th to the 20th century, from classic and traditional art to Mid-Century Modern and decorative designer pieces.”

The fair offers something for all tastes, whether you’re looking to expand your porcelain collection, find talking-point decorative pieces for the home or garden, or seek fine art from many of the best painters and sculptors from the past 200 years.
