POLICE investigating a fatal collision near Follifoot have appealed for three crucial witnesses to come forward.
Husband and wife Julia, 48, and Christopher Pattimore, 53, were killed when their black Porsche GT3 left Plompton Road around 10pm on Tuesday, July 21. It came to rest in a ditch and the couple were pronounced dead at the scene.

Now, police are looking for the occupants of a mark 1 Vauxhall Corsa who may have important information to help the investigation. Three young men were seen in the Corsa around 9.45pm, as it exited Plompton Road and turned left towards the roundabout near the Kestrel pub.

Although it was getting dark, the car is thought to have been rusty brown or green in colour.

Anyone who was travelling in a Corsa in that area at the time is asked to contact TC Stuart Holden at Harrogate Road Policing Group on 0845 6060247.

Police are also appealing for anyone who either witnessed the collision or saw the black Porsche travelling along the A59 towards Harrogate, the A661 or Plompton Road to contact them on the same number.
